Normann Copenhagen's Rainbow Trivet, designed by German studio Ding 3000, is one of the winners of the 2011 Good Design Awards.

Rainbow is Ding 3000's first product for the Danish tableware brand; 2012's tradeshows will see the launch of their second, a whisk called Beater.

Other winners of the award include Toshiba's Portable DVD Player, the Jawbone JAMBOX by fuseprojectBodum's colourful Table Grill and Jaime HayĆ³n's FAVN sofa collection.

The award, established in Chicago in 1950 in collaboration with Charles & Ray Eames, Florence Knoll and other design pioneers of the era, is awarded retrospectively to designs which show the highest standard of form, function and aesthetics across 25 categories including Furniture, Electronics and Tabletop.
