A newly found adventurer spirit running through Japan has led to camping becoming a popular pastime - with more people now taking holidays inside Japan than ever before.

In light of the trend, classic Japanese cookware gets updated in super-light materials to make it camping-friendly. Rainbow-coloured brights are seen extending from the tropical hiking trend, while chrome and metallics add a touch of glamour.

Natural, organic-looking products make a return to camping gear as a more humble aesthetic enjoys a renewed interest, and picnic blankets are also key. Inhabitants use a classic Japanese furoshiki wrapping style to create a dual purpose bag that doubles up as a picnic blanket when laid out flat.
